President-Elect Bongbong Marcos Attends VP-Elect Sara Duterte’s Inauguration
BONGBONG MARCOS – The President-Elect spoke about vice president-elect Sara Duterte following her inauguration in Davao City.
A new administration is about to start in the Philippines. On June 30, president-elect Bongbong Marcos will take his oath as the 17th President of the Republic of the Philippines. He won a landslide victory after he garnered over 31 million votes as per the elections result.
Marcos Jr. will succeed Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte who will be returning to a private citizen after June 30 according to the 77-year-old Chief Executive himself. The incoming vice president is presidential daughter and outgoing Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, the running-mate of Marcos Jr. during the 2022 Elections.
Recently, the vice president-elect had her oath-taking in Davao City. Both of her parents were present at the event. The Marcoses were also present at the inauguration.
Following the oath-taking of vice president-elect Sara Duterte, president-elect Bongbong Marcos said that she is proud of the incoming vice president. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the incoming First Family arrived in Davao City after lunch to attend the event.
“I am so proud of her. She’s gonna be great. She will do a great job. I know it,” the President-Elect said of the incoming vice president.
Based on the report, president-elect Bongbong Marcos has previously described vice president-elect Sara Duterte as the “best running mate and BFF (best friend forever) anyone could wish for”. Prior to the inauguration, his camp revealed that he will just attend the event and fly back to Manila within the day after the oath-taking to attend to other commitments. The camp of the elected president also clarified that he will refrain from other big-ticket activities to prevent stealing the spotlight from the outgoing mayor of Davao City.
