Vice Ganda Shares Where and How He Got His Screen Name

This is how the name Vice Ganda got created.

VICE GANDA – Superstar comedian Vice Ganda shares a brief story of how his show business screen name was made up.

Jose Marie Borja Viceral is the real name of Vice Ganda, Kapamilya network’s superstar comedian. He is also a record-breaking movie star, successful entrepreneur, actor, and singer. Around his family and loved ones, he is not the “Vice Ganda”, he is “Tutoy”.

He started his career by being a singer but found his comfort and expertise in making comedic acts. He was the queen of Punchline and The Library where he was discovered. And during his early years as a stand-up comedian, it was the owner of the Punchline and The Library Andrew de Real who actually gave him his screen name.

And in a recent episode of his show, he shared another version of how his screen name was made. According to him, “Vice” came from his last name “Viceral” while the “Ganda” or beauty came from God – a God’s gift to him.
