PAGASA Says HPA to Bring Fair Weather Condition Except for Isolated Rains and Thunderstorms

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the ridge of High Pressure Area will bring cloudy to rainy condition over NCR and rest of the Philippines.

On Friday (June 3, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The High Pressure Area and localized thunderstorms will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the ridge of High Pressure Area (HPA) will be affecting eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas.

The HPA’s ridge/localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over entire Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Group of Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.

Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon as well as Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience similar weather condition.

“Sa Metro Manila at ‘yong buong bansa, wala naman masyadong kaulapan kaya fair weather conditions, Bahagyang maulap hanggang sa maulap na kalangitan ‘yong inaasahan natin. And then, ‘yong mga pag-ulan, isolated rain showers and thunderstorms lang,” Pagasa weather specialist Ezra Bulquerin said.

The remaining parts of the country are expected to experience fair weather conditions except for isolated rains and thunderstorms in the afternoon to evening.

The weather agency also warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The coastal water condition over Luzon will be slight to moderate. Visayas and Mindanao will experience a slight surrounding sea condition.
