Since the proclamation of Marcos Jr., his camp has started dropping names of the people he wants to head the specific departments under the government. Some of them have accepted the offer with the gratitude for the trust given to them.
One of those who were offered a position is veteran broadcaster Erwin Tulfo. President-elect Bongbong Marcos wants him to lead the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
Tulfo accepted the offer of the incoming administration. According to him, he will do his best as the DSWD secretary to help address the needs of the Filipino people most especially the poor individuals.
Based on a report on GMA News, when he becomes the DSWD Secretary, Erwin Tulfo is eyeing to propose an increase on the monthly pension of indigent senior citizens. Currently, the monthly pension of indigent senior citizens is at Php 500.00.
According to Tulfo, when he assumes the post as DSWD Secretary, he wants to push for its hike to Php 1,500.00.
