Camp of President-Elect Bongbong Marcos Names Appointee for DSWD
BONGBONG MARC OS – The camp of the President-Elect named the incoming secretary of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
Former Senator Bongbong Marcos has been proclaimed as the elected president following the 2022 Elections. He is set to sit as the 17th president of the Republic of the Philippines after garnering more than 31 million votes during the election held last May 9.
The Marcos family was present during the proclamation held at the House of Representatives. The leaderships of the Senate and the House raised the hands of Marcos Jr. who ran under Partido Federal ng Pilipinas. His candidacy gained the support of several political parties and local government officials.
Marcos Jr.’s camp started dropping names of the appointees of the incoming administration following his proclamation. The public also awaits details about his inauguration.
Recently, the camp of president-elect Bongbong Marcos named the incoming secretary of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the president-elect has chosen veteran broadcaster Erwin Tulfo.
Incoming press secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles expressed that Tulfo has been in the public service doing social work for three (3) decades. She further stressed that the broadcaster is known for his coverage and involvement in social programs for Filipinos in the country and as well as abroad.
Incoming DSWD Secretary Erwin Tulfo thanked president-elect Bongbong Marcos for his appointment in the social welfare department. He pledged to really strive to attend to the needs of the people.
Tulfo and his brothers are popular in the field of broadcasting. During the 2022 Elections, his brother, Raffy Tulfo, ran for a senatorial spot and is one of the 12 who made it. The winners of the senatorial election have already been proclaimed several days prior to the proclamation of the winning president and vice president.
