CCTV Footage Caught Unidentified Man Leaving Plastic Bag Before Twin Blasts in Basilan
An unidentified man was caught on a CCTV camera leaving a plastic bag before the twin blasts in Isabela City, Basilan.
On Tuesday (May 31, 2022), the Police Regional Office 9 (PRO9) said that an unidentified male person wearing a yellow t-shirt with a cap has been caught on a CCTV camera leaving a plastic bag at the fast-food chain before the blast.
The police authorities reported that the guy left cellophane at Jollibee’s parking area. A security guard also saw unclaimed baggage from one of the buses D’ Biel Transportation Co.
“Based on a CCTV footage, an unidentified male person wearing yellow t-shirt with cap left a cellophane at the parking area of Jollibee which later on exploded,” PRO9 said.
PRO9 reported that the blasts happened in areas wherein the unclaimed baggage and plastic bag have been found. Two civilians have died and four transport vehicles from D’ Biel got damaged.
The first blast occurred at a parking area of Jollibee in Barangay Isabela Proper while the other one happened in the motor pool of D’ Biel Transportation Co.
“While personnel of Isabela City Police Station and concerned units were conducting post-blast investigation on the said area, another explosion happened in the motor pool of D’ Biel Transportation Co. situated in Barangay La Piedad, Isabela City,” the authorities said.
The police officers are strictly monitoring the area to ensure the safety of the public. The cops are already trying to locate and identify the suspects.
