Street Sweeper in Quezon City Suffers Burn Injuries After Pizza Store Caught Fire
QUEZON CITY – A female street sweeper suffered burn injuries after a pizza store in Quezon City suddenly explodes.
On Monday (March 28, 2022), A street sweeper named Sophia Rafa witnessed an unexpected explosion of a pizza store in Visayas Avenue around 4: 00 am. A lot of debris and broken glass have scattered along the area after the incident.
The establishment caught ire after the blast but the authorities were able to put out the fire before it spreads to nearby buildings. The incident has also left a lady street sweeper with burn injuries on her face.
The female victim immediately received first aid after suffering first degree burns. She was just sweeping and cleaning the road along Visayas Avenue when the incident happened.
“Nagwawalis ako kanina, madilim pa. Tapos pagtapat ko dito may biglang sumabog. Kaya yung face mask ko, ayan, nasunog. Nasa mukha ko ito kanina, tapos ito po mahapdi sakin sobra pati binti ko napatakan ng yerong bumagsak” Rafa said.
Rafa said that her face mask burns and complained that she is currently experiencing a burning sensation on her face after the incident. Her legs were also injured after got hit by debris.
Aside from the pizza store, several homeowners near the vicinity have been affected by the blast. The authorities are also investigating the cause of the incident.
