Bongbong Marcos Leaves Congratulatory Message For 12 Senators

Presumptive president Bongbong Marcos congratulates newly-proclaimed senators of the Philippines.

BONGBONG MARCOS – Leading presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos left a congratulatory message to the 12 senators who won this election.

On May 18, the proclamation of the 12 new senators of the Philippines elected in this year’s election was finally proclaimed. The proclamation ceremony at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC). Most of the senators are either reelectionists or former senators. Only Robin Padilla is the new face and for a first-time senator, his bid impressively topped the list.

Here are the senators in their ranking from lowest to highest according to votes received:

11th: Risa Hontiveros – 15,420,807

9th: Joel Villanueva – 18,486,034
8th: Juan Miguel Zubiri – 18,734,336
7th: Alan Peter Cayetano – 19,295,314
6th: Mark Villar – 19,475,592
5th: Francis Escudero – 20,271,458
4th: Sherwin Gatchalian – 20,602,655
3rd: Raffy Tulfo – 23,396,954
2nd: Loren Legarda – 24,264,969
1st: Robin Padilla – 26,612,434

After the proclamation, presumptive president Bongbong Marcos took to social media his congratulatory message for the 12 newly-elected senators.

Leading senatorial candidate, Padilla, closed his speech with a line taken from the Eric Clapton classic, “Wonderful Tonight” that says, “It’s late in the evening, I feel wonderful tonight…”

To recall, this is the same song he used to sing during the campaign period.

“Mabuhay ang ating mga bagong mambabatas sa Senado! Higit kailanman, kinakailangan ng ating bansa ang inyong pagseserbisyo at karunungan para sa ating patuloy na pagbangon at pag-unlad,” he said in a post.

BBM is currently in Australia for a short trip with his family and as per his spokesperson, he’s enjoying his remaining days as a private citizen.
