“Kinalabit ng bata, accidentally tinamaan yung kaniyang pinsan. Na-shock daw yung pinsan niya na nakabaril. So ni-report daw niya ito sa mama niya, halos hindi nga siya makapagsalita,” Arciaga said.

Initially, the teenager thought that the firearm was just a toy gun. The improvised shotgun was owned by the victim’s father. The young kid has been turned over by his parents to the police authorities.

The young suspect who is under the custody of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office got traumatized and can’t speak after the incident. The latter explained that he did not intend to kill his cousin.

The authorities have also reminded the public regarding the Comelec’s election gun ban.

“Kung may Makita sila na mga loose firearms sa kanilang mga bahay ay mangyari lamang na i-turn over nila sa pinakamalapit na police station ang lahat ng loose firearms para hindi na maulit ang mga ganitong pangyayari,” Arciaga added.
