HERLENE BUDOL – Aspiring beauty queen Herlene Budol impressed the people online with how she handles these queries.

The Binibining Pilipinas has already named its 40 official candidates for this year’s competition. And one of the official candidates is Hipon Girl or Herlene Nicole Budol in real life. And just recently, in the vlog of LGBTQ couple Apple and Aian, she impressed a lot of people with the way she handled those hypothetical questions often asked in a pageant.

The first question asked of her was about the transgender women joining the beauty pageants. Answering based on her own opinion, she said that she respected transgender women but she believes there’s a right pageant exclusive for them. It’s the right venue where they can stress their fight and advocacy.

She said, “Pero para sa akin lang ‘to, ah, may pageant para sa kanila na kaya nilang mas panindigan o bigyan ng mas magandang laban, at ng hustisya yung pinaglalaban nila sa kanilang gender.”

Budol also expressed her opinion about choosing between IVF (in vitro fertilization) or adoption. And in her own point of view, seeing things from her personal situation, she answered she’d rather adopt. For someone who doesn’t have the money for the said procedure, she’d rather adopt because even though she’s not the biological parent, she believes that she is capable of giving true and genuine love.
