Sharon Cuneta Reacts To KC Concepcion’s Inclusion In A Hollywood Film

This is the reaction of Sharon Cuneta when KC Concepcion snatched a role in a Hollywood movie.

SHARON CUNETA – Megastar Sharon Cuneta is proud of KC Concepcion for having been able to be included in a movie for Hollywood.

In a previous article, it has been announced that KC Concepcion is replacing Toni Gonzaga in the Hollywood film “Asian Persuasion”, the directorial debut of Jhett Tolentino – a three-time Tony Award and Grammy-winning producer. She is starring next to actors like Paolo Montalban (“Cinderella”), Scarlett Sher (“The Hustler”), Kevin Kreider (“The Bling Empire), and many others.

Local artists like Rachel AlejandroTony LabruscaYam Concepcion, Rex Navarette, and Apl.de.Ap among others are also reported to be starring in this project. KC is the daughter of former couple Megastar Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion.

And reacting to KC’s Hollywood opportunity, her Megastar mother feels nothing but be extremely proud of her. In an Instagram post, Sharon expressed, “My eldest [KC Concepcion] now doing an all-Asian, mostly Pinoy Hollywood movie. Tina, I am proud of you! Show the world what you’ve got!”

It was last April when the inclusion of KC in the romantic-comedy film was confirmed. She is taking the lead actress role and as soon as she read the script, she felt like it was really meant for her. It is accordingly a role she has always wanted to portray as an actress.

Gonzaga, the first choice for this project, backed out a couple of weeks prior to the pre-prod because of some conflicts in schedule. Her withdrawal was accordingly not because of her political affiliations. Tolentino said in a statement, “Yung sa akin lang, once you commit tapusin, and then so yun, I started the petition. I paid for her work visa. Nagbayad na kami, and then yun, they gave a notice na hindi siya… conflict of schedule.”
