Here’s what Pokwang said about Ai-Ai delas Alas
Kapuso comedienne Pokwang reacted to the allegation that she and Comedy Concert Queen Ai-Ai delas Alas are having a conflict because of their different political views.
Pokie and Ai-Ai belong to the same TV network now but they are different when it comes to the presidential candidates they are supporting. Ai-Ai is supporting former Senator Bongbong Marcos and his running mate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.
On the other hand, Pokie is campaigning for the presidential candidacy of Vice President Leni Robredo and her running mate Senator Kiko Pangilinan.
The supposed “issue” between the two comediennes appeared to have started when singer Audie Gemora compared them to each other. He shared a post featuring a quote from a certain statement of Pokwang. In his caption, he said that Pokie is indeed funnier and more intelligent than Ai-Ai.
The Comedy Concert Queen chose to react to this statement of Audie Gemora with kindness as she wish him well. Then, actor DJ Durano who appeared to be supporting the candidate of Ai-AI said in a comment that Pokie is trying to reach the status of the seasoned comedienne.
Behind this clamor about opposing political views, Pokwang said that she and Ai-Ai are very much okay with each. The former Kapamilya star said that they were able to meet at the studio of All-Out Sunday.
Pokie also said that she is used to receiving mean comments from others however she admitted that she was a bit hurt by the comment of a former co-star who has a different political view.
“Respect lang ang hinihingi ko. May kani-kanya naman tayong paniniwala kaya sana irespeto natin kung anuman ang choice ng kaibigan natin o kasama,” Pokie said adding that she did not mention any name
