LUTZ BARBO PLATFORMS – Here are the accomplishments of Lutz Barbo and the things he promises to do if he gets elected as Senator in the May 2022 Elections.
Lutgardo “Lutz” Boco Barbo is an educator, politician, and lawyer. He was among the founding members of Partido Demokratiko Pilipino in 1984. The political party later merged with Lakas ng Bayan.
The lawyer is running for the Senate for the first time under the faction of Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan led by Senators Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel and Manny Pacquiao.
PERSONAL BACKGROUND
Lutz Barbo was born in Llorente, Eastern Samar. He is married to Rebecca Arambulo-Barbo. He took up a BS in Elementary Education at the Philippine Normal University (PNU). He finished his law degree from the University of Santo Tomas in 1974.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
From 1987 until 1998, Lutz Barbo was Eastern Samar Governor. In his three terms as governor, he was commended by President Fidel V. Ramos for arresting the insurgency problems.
The lawyer was the chief of staff of Sen. Koko Pimentel until 2016 and served as the Senate secretary until 2018. He was the president of PNU from 2006 and 2010 and Taguig City University from 2011 to 2013.
