Cops Arrests Lady Scammer After Victimizing 40 Individuals Using “Sangla-Tira” Modus
SANGLA TIRA MODUS – The cops arrested a lady scammer who was using the “Sangla-Tira” modus to steal money from about 40 victims.
Over 40 complainants have trooped to the police station after learning that the scammer identified as Jady Tumanglao has been arrested. The complainants claimed that Tumanglao reportedly stole cash from the victims amounting to P100, 000.
A victim named “Teresa Ban-Eg” has expressed her disappointment after paying P150, 000 to Tumanglao. The scammer will pawn several condominium units to the victims in exchange for free lodge.
The suspect claims that she owned the units although she was just a middle man looking for tenants. The scammer is supposed to remit the tenant’s payment for the rent but she runs away with the money.
“Kumuha siya sakin ng susi para patirahin siya, ngayon hindi na nagbayad si Jed sa akin kaya pinababa ko yung ilaw, hindi naming alam na yung unit ko sinangla na pala,” a unit owner named Aling Diyosa said.
Condominium manager Eva Rose Cabia also fell into the scammer’s scheme. The suspect pawned her 17 condo units to tenants. She asked the tenants regarding the payment and discovered that they were also a victim of the Sangla-Tira modus.
Tumanglao has been arrested during an entrapment operation after an unnamed victim filed a complaint. A certain Miko Maderal has been arrested for conniving with the suspect. The lady culprit also denied the accusations.
“Wala po akong nilokong tao, lahat po yun binabayaran po ko yung mga unit nila sa mga unit owner minsan lang po talaga nade-delay ng konti pero I settle everything po,” Jeddy said.
