Is it true that Herbert Bautista “pinatid” by a marshal?
UniTeam senatorial candidate Herbert Bautista was caught on camera having an argument with a marshal during a campaign rally in Quezon last April 13.
Just like other candidates included in the UniTeam of former Senator Bongbong Marcos and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, Herbert has been joining the rallies around the country. In a recent campaign event in Quezon City where he formerly served as Mayor, he brought some companion.
However, when they were about to enter the venue, the marshal assigned at the gate questioned them. Based on the article in PEP, the member of the security team was asking the team of Herbert Bautista to show their bracelet pass in order for them to be allowed to enter.
“Sino po ang contact person ninyo?” the marshal was heard asking Herbert who then turned his back and said, “Sige, hindi na ako magra-rally dahil sa iyo.”
The actor-politician, in a serious tone, told one of his companions to get the name of the marshal. “Kunin mo ang pangalan niyan. Hindi ako magra-rally dahil sa iyo. Pati mga kasama ko, hindi mo pinapapasok,” he said.
The marshal apologized and then Herbert said that the marshal should apologize to his companions. “Ano ang pangalan mo? Ibigay mo sa akin ang pangalan mo. Ako si Herbert Bautista… anong pangalan mo?” the senatorial candidate continued.
As the marshal was asking their bracelet pass, Herbert asked if they could provide for his companions. Then, the conversation in the viral video became unclear but it can be implied that the marshal was told to get the bracelet pass and Herbert said that he could guard the entrance for a while.
Another marshal came as the other one was getting the bracelet pass. A few moments later, the marshal came with a man wearing a shirt with QC mayoral candidate Mike Defensor’s name written on it. Then, Herbert and his companions were allowed to enter.
After that, it can be heard that the actor-politician was getting the names of the marshals and one of them said that their contact person should be the one who got their bracelet pass. Then the second marshal was heard apologizing.
When Herbert Bautista was about to pass the second marshal, it can be seen in the video that he was about to stumble. “Pinatid mo ako? Naramdaman kong pinatid mo ako. Bastos ka!! Pinatid mo ako!” the senatorial candidate exclaimed.
Herbert continued to say, “Pinatid ako, nakita niyo ba?” He tried to go near the marshal to confront him. However, Herbert’s companions were hindering him. As of this writing, the actor-politician has not released a statement yet regarding this issue.
