PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Wednesday (April 13)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area will bring cloudy to rainy condition over some parts of the country.

On Wednesday (April 13, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The low-pressure area will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the LPA has been last spotted at 65 kilometers southeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar. The weather agency continues to monitor Typhoon Basyang outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Basyang has been last spotted at 1,545 kilometers east of central Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 150 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 185kph and moving northeastward at 10kph.

Former Agaton will bring cloudy weather condition scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Masbate, and Sorsogon. The LPA will bring similar weather condition over the rest of Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, the rest of Bicol Region, Marinduque, Romblon, and Quezon.

The localized thunderstorms will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides during times of light to moderate or heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the eastern seaboards of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the archipelago will be slight to moderate.
