PAGASA Says Tropical Storm Agaton to Bring Rains Over Parts of PH

PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Monday (April 11)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that Tropical Storm Agaton will continue to bring an inclement weather condition over some parts of the country.

On Monday (April 11, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) released the latest weather update in the country. Tropical Storm Agaton will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that tropical Storm Agaton has been last spotted at the coastal waters of Tanauan, Leyte (11.1°N, 125.1°E). It has maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 90 kph moving at a northwestward.

Agaton is expected to bring moderate to heavy with at times intense rains over Eastern Visayas, Masbate, Sorsogon, Catanduanes, and the northern and central portions of Cebu including Bantayan and Camotes Islands. Light to moderate with at times heavy rains are expected over Dinagat Islands, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and the rest of Bicol Region and Visayas.

The weather agency has also raised Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal over some parts of the country.

The weather agency has also advised the public to take precautionary measures for scattered to widespread flooding and rain-induced landslides due to the bad weather condition.
