Missing Parish Priest Found Alive Tied Up Inside Vehicle in Cavite
A missing parish priest has been found alive tied up and unconscious inside his own vehicle in Silang, Cavite.
Most Holy Rosary parish priest Reverend Father Leoben Peregrino has been found unconscious and tied up in a vehicle parked in Silang, Cavite after going missing for two days.
The authorities said that the priest has been rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention. Father Peregrino has been found last Sunday (April 3, 2022) after he went missing for two days for an unknown reason.
The police authorities are already investigating the incident and the priest got traumatized due to the incident. Peregrino could not speak yet, according to Rosario Municipal Police chief Police Colonel Ruther Saquilayan.
“Until now, we’re still conducting an investigation. Bina-backtrack namin ang mga CCTV na mga pinagdaanan niya. So far, ang mga nakuha pa lang namin hanggang Dasmariñas which is siya lang ang sakay,” Saquilayan said.
According to the priest’s family, Leobe traveled to Imus last Friday (April 1, 2022) to buy a candle and there are some individuals who even saw him at a gasoline station and a mall at the town. However, it was still a mystery how he reached Silang although he came from Rosario.
The devotees who knew the priest got shocked after hearing the news. Most of them described Peregrino as a good and kind parish priest although he is a little bit strict. Father Leoben has been the parish priest of the church for six years.
