Unfortunately, the water level suddenly increases and Ruffa accidentally lost her grip to her young son. The kid has been swept due to the strong water current.

Yung bata, lumubog agad,” PNP Maritine-Pangasinan investigator Police Corporal Irwin Albao said.

The police authorities launched search and retrieval operation to rcover the kid’s body. The rescuers eventually recovered the victim’s remains. Ruffa’s other family members nearly drowned due to sudden increase of water level.

The authorities advised the public to take precautionary measures for possible ‘rip current’, which is too dangerous for tourists visiting the beach. He also advised the beach management to hire a lifeguard.
