This is the definition of “elitism” according to Ely Buendia. Here’s his post.
ELY BUENDIA – OPM icon Ely Buendia blasts the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and gives the “very definition of elitism” in a post.
The Leni-Kiko tandem has held numerous rallies in various parts of the country and the biggest, so far, is the grand rally in Pasig City called “PasigLaban”. And among the volunteer performers who fully support the Angat Buhay tandem is OPM icon, Ely Buendia.
Just recently, he re-released his song “Metro” with new lyrics. The lyrics spoke of support for the presidential aspirant and her running mate. The Record label Offshore Music described the track as a “new version of the timely Metro, with updated lyrics for Ely’s candidates of choice.”
On Twitter, the hour prior to his “Metro” announcement, he shared something that slammed the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR). The caption of his post said:
When the BIR can’t even do anything about certain individuals who owe us tons of money, isn’t that the very definition of elitism? Fight me
There were no specific names that have been dropped but highly talked-about at current times is the unpaid estate tax of the Marcos family. The Supreme Court has a 1997 ruling ordering the Marcos family to pay Php 23 billion which has now ballooned to a hefty amount given many years that the late dictator’s family neglected this.
A document from Supreme Court also surfaced which shows that G.R 120880 became “final and executory” on March 9, 1999. And according to BIR, they have already sent their last demand to the family last December 2021. The spokesperson of Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. said before that “the issue is still pending in court” which is contrary to the documents that have emerged from the SC.
