Sen. Manny Pacquiao Greets Pres. Duterte on his 77th Birthday
MANNY PACQUIAO – The Senator gave a message for President Rodrigo Roa Duterte who celebrated his 77th birthday.
Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, a former Davao City Mayor, is the oldest person to have been elected for the presidency of the Republic of the Philippines. He was 71 years old when he assumed office on June 30, 2016 following a landslide victory in the national election.
The administration of Pres. Duterte focused on the fight against drugs and corruption. His presidency is filled with huge challenges including the COVID-19 pandemic that started two (2) years ago. As the end of his term draws near, the President is vocal that he is looking forward to experience being the outgoing president.
Before he will finally leave Malacañang and go home to Davao City, Pres. Duterte turned a year older. On his 77th birthday yesterday, March 28, 2022, the Chief Executive received a lot of well wishes.
Sen. Manny Pacquiao is one of those who gave a birthday message for Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. Based on a report on ABS-CBN, the boxer-turned-senator expressed his wishes for good health and more birthdays to come as he greeted the President on his special day.
“Ako ay bumabati sa ating Pangulo ng isang maligayang kaarawan. Nawa’y pagpalain siya ng panginoon at bigyan ng malakas na katawan at maraming kaarawan ang darating. More birthdays to come, God is good all the time,” Sen. Pacquiao said.
According to the report, Sen. Manny Pacquiao also put down the rumors that he is backing out from the presidential race and allegations that he is getting lazy campaigning. The Senator stressed that he has just a lot of things to work on and he stressed the need to strengthen the foundation of the campaign.
Sen. Pacquiao asserted that he is not backing out from any fight and he is also not getting lazy campaigning. According to him, his present activities are pieces of proof that he is not getting lazy campaigning and is quitting the presidential race.
