Tricia Robredo, the daughter of Vice President Leni Robredo, shared her encounter with a supporter of UniTeam’s Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte.
The VP’s daughter has been doing house-to-house campaigning. Previously, through her Instagram post, Tricia shared that she likes this campaign strategy because back when her father Jesse Robredo was running for a local position, they would do this kind of campaigning.
This time, she is doing this for her mother. She shared that she encountered different reactions upon doing this campaign. In the photos that she shared, it was obvious that there were residents who are supporting the other side.
She also encouraged her fellow Kakampinks to do this kind of campaigning but stressed that it should be done in “mahinahon” way. “Be more mindful of comments that do come off as offensive and elitist. Avoid name-calling (ie bobo, bayaran). Maraming nabiktima lang din ng disinformation. Maraming hirap, kumakayod at naghahanap lang ng maiuuwi sa pamilya. Ipaglaban din natin sila,” she said.
In her recent Instagram Story, she shared photos of her encounter with a BBM-Sara supporter. The old woman was even wearing a UniTeam shirt. The daughter of VP Leni Robredo shook the hand of the old woman whose eyes were telling that she was smiling.
She acknowledges the fact that she will not convince all the people that she will encounter through her house-to-house campaigning but Tricia said that she still pay respect. The BBM-Sara supporter treated her well also.
“Hindi maco-convert lahat pero lumalapit pa rin para bumati, lalo na dahil nakikidaan lang tayo sa lugar nila. Nung lumapit ako kay Nanay, she was pleasant & she even greeted back. Pahabol niya, ‘hindi tayo ang nag-aaway,’” the daughter of VP Leni Robredo said.
