Beauty queens Pia Wurtzbach, Iris Mittenaere, and Demi-Leigh Tebow will be hosting Miss Universe Philippines 2022 pageant.
MISS UNIVERSE PHILIPPINES 2022 – Pia Wurtzbach, Iris Mittenaere, and Demi-Leigh Tebow are the hosts of this year’s pageant.
In the latest update, the top three winners of the Fashion and Runway Challenge are Ghenesis Latugat of Baguio, Chantal Elise Legaspi Schmidt of Cebu City, and Angelica Lopez of Palawan.
The pageant kicked off with 50 candidates who will vie for the crown of the 2022 edition of the prestigious beauty pageant. These delegates were shortlisted and were interviewed online for screening. The list included former national pageant titleholders, popular frontrunners from previous national pageants, provincial beauty queens, and professionals with outstanding backgrounds and credentials.
The grand coronation night of the pageant is set for April 30 as announced by the organization and the new queen will be crowned by the reigning queen Beatrice Luigi Gomez, a top 5 finisher of last year’s international pageant.
And to host this year’s local pageant are beauty queens Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere, and Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Tebow. The finals will be held at the SM Mall Of Asia Arena.
There are also reports that Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu of India will also be present at the said event.
Meanwhile, last 2020, the pageant happened as no longer under Stella Araneta’s BPCI. The winner in 2020 is Rabiya Mateo and in 2021 is Gomez. Both Mateo and Gomez are successful in the international edition for having been able to finish the Top 21 and Top 5 lists, respectively.
