Salvador Panelo was asked about Sharon Cuneta’s criticism against him
Senatorial aspirant Salvador Panelo admitted that he was pained by the criticism he received from Megastar Sharon Cuneta and here is the reason why he said this.
To recall, Sharon did not like that Panelo sang her classic song Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas. In his response to the criticism, the senatorial aspirant explained why he sang the song.
Later on, the Megastar deleted her Instagram post against Panelo and said that she just wants to have good vibes only.
Based on the article in Newsko, Salvador Panelo was asked if he was hurt by the criticism that he got from Sharon Cuneta. He said that he was not offended by he was pained and it is because of the fact that she did not like it.
“Not hurt, in the sense that it offended me, no. I was pained because nasaktan ko iyong idol ko na si Sharon nang hindi ko sinasadya. Hindi ko akalain na ganoon ang magiging reaksyon niya,” the known ally of President Rodrigo Duterte said.
With the said song, Panelo said that he feels like he is honoring his son to whom he dedicates this and Sharon as the original singer, Viva Records, and the song composer.
When asked if the incident helped his candidacy, Salvador Panelo said that not necessarily but it helped when it comes to being talked about. However, the senatorial candidate said that he is thankful to Sharon because through what happened, more people have become aware of his advocacy and this is to help children with special needs and their parents.
“I’m thanking Ms. Sharon… because iyong incident naming dalawa has boosted the awareness to the plight of special children. Na dahil doon, marami ang nakaunawa ngayon at nakaalam na matindi pala ang problema ng mga special children at napabayaan ito ng lahat sa lipunan. Kaya because of that, nagpapasalamat ako kay Ms. Sharon,” Panelo said.
