Malacañang Announces Alert Level Status in Metro Manila, Other Areas in PH

Malacañang Releases Statement on Alert Level Status in PH from March 16-31

MALACAÑANG – The Palace announced the COVID-19 Alert Level status in Metro Manila and other areas in the Philippines.

The Philippines remains under some restrictions while the COVID-19 pandemic is over yet. Previously, amid the easing of the curbs in many countries, the World Health Organization (WHO) reminded nations that the pandemic is far from over.

The WHO Chief stressed that the pandemic is not over anywhere if it is not over everywhere. In PH, the country practices the alert level system that bears the restrictions set for a certain extent of the cases and the behavior of the pandemic in an area.

Currently, the loosest alert level status is Alert Level 1. Malacañang has placed the whole Metro Manila under the said alert level status until the end of March.
