MMDA Meets Traffic Violators Who Commit Same Violation in 2018
The MMDA enforcers met the traffic violators they encountered in 2018 for committing the same traffic violation four years ago.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority is an agency of the Republic of the Philippines implementing the planning, monitoring and coordinative functions along the road concerning purely local matters.
The agency covers the cities of Manila, Quezon City, Caloocan, Pasay, Mandaluyong, Makati, Pasig, Marikina, Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, Parañaque, Valenzuela, Malabon, Taguig, Navotas and San Juan and the municipality of Pateros.
The Facebook page “Gadget Addict” has shared the video footage of MMDA enforcers apprehending the traffic violators who previously committed the same violation. The video garnered various reactions from the online community.
In the video, MMDA chief Edison “Bong” Nebrija apprehended several individuals for drinking beside the road as early as 7:00 am. The violator reasoned out that they were just exhausted and trying to relax for a little bit.
Nebrija recognized them as the violators who committed the same violation four years ago. He did not arrest them and urged them to remove the alcoholic beverage and stop drinking, The MMDA chief give them another not to make the same violation.
The two drivers who illegally parked their vehicles along the road while drinking explained that they have no home to stay.
The MMDA traffic czar forgives them and warned them not to repeat the same mistake. Nebrija also explained that drinking sessions outside remain strictly prohibited due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“Unang nakilala ng MMDA ang dalawang mamang ito noong 2018 nang subukan ng dalawa na pigilin ang pag-tow ng isang jeepney na ilegal na nakaparada.
Apat na taon na ang nakalipas, pero muli silang nakatagpo ng MMDA habang tinatanggal ang mga pedicab sa parehong bangketa.”
