The upcoming May 2022 Election is currently one of the national events that are taking much attention. A lot of Filipinos are vocal and showy about their support for their candidates. With regards to the national poll, there are 10 candidates vying for the presidency.

One of the presidential bets is Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, the standard-bearer of Partido Aksyon Demokratiko. It is not his first time running for a national post. In 2016, he was one of the contenders for the senatorial race but he did not win.

During the 2019 Midterm Election, Mayor Isko won the mayoralty race in Manila. He is one of the most popular mayors in the country and many people are impressed by his leadership.

The election involves money for the campaign rallies and other events. Most presidential bets do not simply rely on campaign funding or sponsors but they also use their personal money.

Recently, Mayor Isko Moreno spoke on his campaign funds a month after the campaign period started. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Manila Mayor expressed his hope that God “will provide good health” and resources. According to him, even if the well is deep, it also dries up.

When asked if his campaign fund is running out, Mayor Isko laughed and said that funds are still trickling in.

“May pumapatak pa,” he said.

The Manila Mayor also said that his party does not have to spend much for his campaign sorties because of their modest campaign. According to him, they do not need big stars because the members of his senatorial slate, referring to John Catriciones and Samira Gutoc who were standing beside him, already look like big stars. He stressed that the campaign is hard but they are happy and they are not complaining.
