What’s next for Willie Revillame after leaving GMA?
A source close to veteran TV host Willie Revillame revealed that he is planning to do this while waiting for AMBS to be ready for airing.
Willie, out of his “delicadeza”, chose not to renew his contract with GMA Network as he was already having negotiations with businessman Manny Villar who acquired the frequencies previously occupied by ABS-CBN through his company Advanced Media Broadcasting System.
For almost seven years, GMA has become the home of Willie’s game show Wowowin. GMA CEO Atty. Felipe Guzon respected this decision of the veteran host.
It was rumored that Willie Revillame will hold an executive position in the TV network of Villar. It is known to many that the veteran host is close to the businessman.
Based on the article by entertainment columnist Jun Lalin in NewsKo, a source close to Kuya Wil shared that establishing the TV network of Villar will take a long time. “Matatagalan pa ‘yon. Hindi naman basta-basta eere na ‘yon,” he said.
The source also shared that Willie misses doing shows already and giving prizes to many viewers. “Ang alam ko, gusto nang simulan ni Willie na mag-show uli at sa Facebook muna siya mapapanood. Gusto na niyang mamigay uli ng mga papremyo. Miss na miss na rin kasi siya ng mga tao. Ng supporters niya,” the source close to the veteran host shared.
Meanwhile, seasoned actor Aga Muhlach denied that Willie Revillame was trying to convince him to transfer to AMBS. The actor currently has two shows on NET25. Aga said that he and Willie have been good friends for a long time now and they just had their “kamustahan” just recently.
