Neri Colmenares Reveals He’s Not Invited at SMNI Senatorial Debate
Senatorial aspirant Neri Colmenares revealed that he was not invited at the Sonshine Media Network International (SMNI) “senatorial debate”.
Colmenares disclosed in a recent Twitter post that he was not invited to the SMNI Senatorial Debate in Okada Manila on March 2, 2022. After many netizens questioned why he was not present at the discussion, the senator made a statement.
“Good morning! Sa mga nagtatanong bakit wala ako sa SMNI senatorial debate kagabi, sa totoo lang, I was not invited,” tweeted Neri Colmenares this morning of March 3, 2022.

It elicited a variety of responses and remarks from online users. Some argue that it is unjust, and that the SMNI should explain why Colmenares was not invited to the ceremony. Some, on the other hand, were relieved that he was not invited since he is unworthy of a debate place.
Colmenares is the chairperson of Makabayan and a former Bayan Muna lawmaker who is standing for senator in 2022. Meanwhile, SMNI has yet to make a remark on Colmenares’ absence from the debate.
On Wednesday, March 2nd, at the Okada Manila in Pasay City, eleven senatorial candidates attended the event. Following the discussion, one of the senatorial candidates in attendance, Luke Espiritu, became a social media sensation.
During the discussion, Espiritu was involved in heated exchanges with fellow senatorial candidates Larry Gadon, a suspended lawyer, and Harry Roque, a former presidential spokesperson. Roque and Gadon backed Marcos and expressed their opposition to Espiritu, an anti-Marcos figure.
