63-year-old Grandfather Harassing Minor Granddaughters for Years Arrested
Police authorities arrested a grandfather who was reportedly harassing his minor granddaughters for over years in Catanduanes.
After reportedly rapping his grandchildren 1,487 times in Catanduanes a few years ago, police arrested a 63-year-old father. The name of the accused, who is from Virac, Catanduanes, was revealed by Police Regional Office 5 (PRO-5) spokeswoman Maj. Malu Calubaquib.

He claimed the accused was apprehended in Caramoan by members of the Catanduanes 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, Catanduanes Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, and the Provincial Intelligence Unit. Judge Genie Gapas-Agbada of the Regional Trial Court Branch 42, Virac, Catanduanes, issued an arrest warrant.
900 counts of statutory, 382 charges of r*pe, and another 150 cases of statutory were charged against the suspect. According to Calubaquib, the accused became the most sought person after allegedly harassing his granddaughter from the age of eight to thirteen.
From the ages of nine to twelve, the accused reportedly tormented the victim’s cousin, according to the officer. As a consequence, the authorities launched an effort to apprehend the elderly guy.
The accused is being held at the Caramoan Municipal Police Station, and the court has not suggested that he be released on bond. The police have transferred the victims to a secure location where they will be protected and able to live a regular life.
