In her personal view, moving abroad is something more related to her preference. Accordingly, living as a trans woman in the United States is much better than being in the Philippines and such a reality is painful for her. She stressed, “I hope the Philippines will take the best steps to create laws that would protect the trans community because we are human beings who deserve equal rights. We’re not begging for special rights. We’re just asking for equal rights.”

Meanwhile, as a fashion designer, her humble beginnings can be traced back to 2006 when she was offered a full scholarship for fashion design at the College of Saint Benilde (CSB). This opportunity made her passion for designing burn even brighter.

At 22, she had her first fashion business. She got included in Project Runway Philippines and received warm praises for her talent and skills. Her business collected a growing list of clients and at the age of 24, she introduced her first shop where her clients ultimately included famous local stars.

And despite the success, there’s a gap in his life she was trying to fill, and only when she went to San Francisco to take her masters that she did realize what seems to be missing in her life. Accordingly, in the US, what she does, how she dresses, and her mannerisms were not a big deal. She found acceptance, happiness, and freedom.

Floresca finished a degree in Manila and finished an associate degree in Bridalwear in London. She transitioned to female in 2013. And when it comes to joining pageants, her fashion designing skills are of great use. She makes her own gowns and outfits for the pageant.
