MISS UNIVERSE PHILIPPINES 2022 – The Miss Universe Philippines Organization finally names Top 50 candidates of the local pageant.

On Monday, February 28, the official 50 delegates for the 2022 Miss Universe Philippines (MUP) pageant were officially introduced to the public. The organization shared, “This edition is made more exciting by starting with 50 official delegates! We’re narrowing the field to get us closer to our Final 30 delegates.”

From 50 ladies, they will be narrowed down to the final 30. To recall, last year’s pageant started with 100 delegates. They went through several online and remote challenges narrowing them down gradually from 75, 50, and until they reached 30 who appeared in the final and grand coronation night.

Among the familiar faces are 2020 Miss Universe Philippines third runner up Pauline Amelinckx, Julia Saubier from 2019 Binibining Pilipinas, Michelle Dee who was 2019 Miss World Philippines, Katrina Llegado of 2019 Reina Hispano Americana, and Celeste Cortesi who competed already in Miss Earth 2018.

This year, the organization partnered with kumu for an “interactive pageant” where the ladies will go through “fun live streaming tasks”, “interactive exclusive shows”, and “daily and weekly kumustuhan segments”.
