The instructor was reportedly sent to campaign for the presidential election at Majayjay Elementary School. According to the assignment, it is for the topic of Home and Economic Education.

The education department reported the instructor for utilizing youngsters for political goals. According to Education Secretary Leonor Briones, the instructor apologized for what the children did in the report.

This is in violation of a department order from 2018, which prohibits employees from engaging in electioneering or partisan political activity. “No officer or employee in the civil service shall engage, directly or indirectly, in any electioneering or partisan political campaigning,” the Department Order said.

The videos were created for the kids’ Edukasyong Pantahanan at Pangkabuhayan, or Home and Livelihood Education, according to at least one of the posts. It’s unclear if the pupils were told to produce movies to promote Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos in particular.

Since then, the original posts have been buried or erased. Meanwhile, Majayjay Elementary School has held conversations and meetings with higher levels of government, ensuring that the situation would not occur again.
