Leni Robredo Daughters No Plans of Entering Politics

Daughters of Leni Robredo were asked this question

Aika, Tricia, and Jillian Robredo, the daughters of Vice President Leni Robredo strongly said that they have no plan of entering politics.

It is a known fact in the political arena in the Philippines that children, or other family members, would eventually assume the government position that a parent occupied. This is one of the reasons why many people are criticizing the so-called “political dynasties” in the country.

In a recent interview, based on the Twitter post of The Philippine Star, the daughters of VP Leni Robredo were asked if they have plans of following the footstep of their mother.

Aika Robredo said that they have been “scarred for life”. The oldest daughter of the Vice President shared that every election, they would say that this is going to be the last election for their family but it did not happen yet. “Mukhang magkakatotoo na siya this time around,” Aika said.

For Tricia Robredo, politics is not on her bucket list. She said that she would just focus on her field of expertise. “Ako honestly, gusto ko mag-pursue ng specialization, matagal na siyang na-delay. Politics, wala po talaga,” the second daughter of VP Leni said.

When Jillian Robredo answered the same question, she seconded her older sister’s statement that they are “scarred”. “Medyo scarred na rin talaga ako sa nangyayari at kung gaano kagulo and mundo ng pulitika kaya hindi na rin,” she said.

During the CNN Philippines presidential debate, VP Leni Robredo was asked about her vow in the past that she will not run again. She said that she needed to fight the disinformation is being fed to the people and the impending reign of corruption in the government. Last year, Robredo said that her reason for running was to stop the return of Marcoses in Malacañang.
