List of Reminders for Companies, Offices in Areas under Alert Level 1 for Safety
ALERT LEVEL 1 – Here are the guidelines for the on-site work setup in offices and companies in areas under this measure.
The Philippines is one of the countries hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Many people lost their lives to the disease, almost everyone was forced to live under a “new normal” setting, and the crisis really dragged the economy of the country down.
For more than two (2) years now, the nation remains under restrictions as the threats of the virus are still present. There were instances when the cases dropped and rose again due to various factors. Following the holiday season in 2021, the cases had a spike and Metro Manila was placed under Alert Level 3.
The measure in the capital region was downgraded to Alert Level 2 in February after the cases peaked and the daily tally decreased. Before March, the national government announced that Metro Manila and several other cities in the country will be under Alert Level 1 from March 1 to 15.
The Alert Level 1 is the loosest measure allowing the full operation of public transport and public and private businesses. Previously, a lot of companies adapted the work-from-home setup for the safety of their employees and as mandated by the restrictions to reduce the physical workforce.
Now, companies and employers in areas under Alert Level 1 may get back their full workforce but there are guidelines or reminders that must be considered. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, here is a list of what companies and business owners must consider as cited by the authorities in the Civil Service Commission (CSC) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE):
- the practice of the minimum health standards in offices and other workplaces
- secure safety seal certification from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)
- secure safety seal from the Philippine National Police (PNP)
- workers who will return to the onsite work setup must be fully-vaccinated
