Sen. Manny Pacquiao Stays Hopeful on Getting Bro. Eddie Villanueva’s Endorsement
MANNY PACQUIAO – The PROMDI standard-bearer and incumbent Senator is hoping that Bro. Eddie Villanueva will endorse him for president.
Ten (10) candidates for May 2022 presidential election remain on the official ballot as to the Commission on Elections (Comelec). Last February 8, the campaign period for the national election has started and proclamation rallies were held in several areas across the nation.
The candidates are currently doubling their efforts campaigning as the May 2022 Election is drawing near. Endorsements from certain groups and from key figures in the different fields also cross the surface. Several political leaders, church leaders, and celebrities in showbiz have expressed their support to certain candidates.
One of the presidential bets in the upcoming poll is PROMDI standard-bearer and incumbent Sen. Manny Pacquiao. He held his proclamation rally in General Santos City. He is vocal about his pursuit to end corruption in the country. Previously, he expressed that he is planning to appoint Bro. Eddie Villanueva as anti-corruption czar if he will win president in the next election.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Sen. Manny Pacquiao remains hopeful to get the endorsement of Jesus Is Lord church movement Bro. Eddie Villanueva for president. It is despite Villanueva’s previous statement that he will not endorse any candidate as all the bets are his friends.
According to the report, with regards to the plan of Sen. Pacquiao to appoint him as anti-corruption czar if he wins president in the upcoming election, the church leader said that he will think about it and he will be asking for discernment.
Sen. Manny Pacquiao stressed that he respects the decision of every person and he trusts the conviction of the Lord. He raised the possibility that Bro. Eddie Villanueva might be given the conviction to give his support to him.
