Under Construction Bridge Suddenly Collapsed in Davao City
The bridge under construction in Brgy. Magsaysay, Marilog District, Davao City suddenly collapsed.
Nowadays, road construction and infrastructure programs are very important to make transportation easier and fasters. People living in remote or rural areas usually struggle to travel due to unpassable passages.
The Philippine government is already implementing the “Build, Build, Build” program with the aim to add the numbers of roads and infrastructures in the country. However, there are still a lot of areas that need quality infrastructures.
Contractors and workers responsible for infrastructure projects should ensure the quality of their work to avoid possible accidents, which may lead to injuries or even death.
The Facebook page “Team Davao Rescue” has shared the photos of a bridge in Marilog District, Davao City that suddenly collapsed for an unidentified reason. The photos garnered various reactions online.
In the photos, it can be seen that the bridge made up of steel bars and concrete suddenly collapsed. The bridge was still under construction process when it collapsed. The bridge is located at Brgy. Magsaysay in Davao City.
Two workers reportedly suffered wounds and injuries due to the incident.
A netizen named Ryl Hezil Boquita said that the comments blames the engineer for being corrupt and providing substandard materials just to earn from the project.
