The veteran broadcaster Ricardo “Dong” Puno, Jr. has passed away at the age of 76 after battling illness.

On Tuesday (February 15, 2022), the family of the Filipino broadcaster and former Press secretary Ricardo “Dong” Puno, Jr. announced the demise of their beloved father. The personality passed away around 12:15 pm.

Puno’s sons Ricky and Donnie announced that their dad to a lingering illness. The broadcaster passed away after years of batting his illness. He is popularly known for his shows Dong Puno Live, Viewpoints, and Insider at ABS-CBN.

Dong Puno Jr. is a Filipino former television public affairs host, media executive, newspaper columnist, and lawyer. He was born on January 20, 1946 and passed away today (February 15, 2022).

Ricardo was the son of former Justice Minister and Court of Appeals Associate Justice Ricardo Puno Sr. who also co-founded the Puno & Puno Law Offices.

Puno was the former Senior Vice President for News and Current Affairs of the ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation and Executive Vice President of the ABS-CBN News Channel. He also hosted numerous programs for the Kapamilya network.
