PAGASA Says Shear Line to Affect PH Weather on Tuesday (February 15)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the shear line will bring cloudy condition with scattered rains over some parts of the country.

On Tuesday (February 15, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The shear line and the northeast monsoon would affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the Shear line or the Frontal System will be affecting the eastern section of Northern Luzon while the Northeast Monsoon will be affecting the rest of Northern Luzon.

The Easterlies / localized thunderstorms will bring Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Bicol region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, entire Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.

The Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region and the rest of central Luzon as well as Metro Manila and the remaining of the country will experience similar weather condition.

The shear line is expected to bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms Cagayan Valley and Aurora.

The weather agency has also advised the public to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.

The coastal water condition over eastern section of central and southern Luzon, of Visayas, and of Mindanao will be moderate to rough. The rest of the archipelago will have slight to moderate surrounding sea condition.
