PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Monday (February 14, 2022)
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the shear line and the northeast monsoon would bring cloudy condition over some parts of the country.
On Monday (February 14, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The shear line and amihan would affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the Shear line will be affecting Extreme Northern Luzon while the Easterlies/ Localized Thunderstorms would affect Mindanao.
The shearline will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, and Aurora.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms is expected Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Northern Samar.
The northeast monsoon will bring similar weather condition over the provinces of Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mt. Province, Abra, Benguet, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union and Pangasinan.
The Easterlies on the eastern section and localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather condition over Mindanao as well as Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
“Dahil sa northeast monsoon o amihan ay mayroon po tayong nakataas na gale warning dito po ‘yan sa dagat-baybayin ng Batanes kung saan hindi po muna natin pinapayagang pumalaot ‘yung mga kababayan po nating mangingisda pati na rin ‘yung may mga maliliit na sasakyang pandagat,” Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.
The weather agency has also advised the public to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides may result during severe thunderstorms.
The coastal water condition over the seaboards of Northern Luzon will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the country will be moderate to rough.
