Cristy Fermin also demanded public apology from Dawn Chang
Veteran entertainment writer Cristy Fermin fired back at the statement of the legal counsel of former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Dawn Chang.
The issue between Cristy and Dawn started when the former shared her remark against the latter’s statement against actress-host Toni Gonzaga. Dawn aired her dismay over Toni’s hosting stint in UniTeam’s proclamation rally.
Cristy criticized Dawn for her opinion. The veteran showbiz columnist even accused the former PBB housemate of “nakipaglandian” with the bosses just to get the popularity that she wants.
With this remark from Cristy Fermin, the legal counsel of Dawn Chang released a statement demanding the former to do a public apology and if this will not happen until February 16, the latter’s camp will resort to a legal action.
Following that statement from the lawyer of Dawn, Cristy’s lawyers, Ferdinand Topacio and Joselito Lomangaya, also demanded the former to do a public apology, based on the article from Inquirer. The lawyers of the veteran showbiz columnist said that it was inappropriate for the lawyer of Dawn to call Cristy “coward and a liar.”
“It is ironic that while you complain against libel allegedly having been committed against your client, you have committed the same crime against ours,” Cristy’s camp said.
The lawyers of Cristy Fermin also demanded that the apology from Dawn Chang will be done on or before February 16. “Your failure to do so within the time given by us will leave us no choice but to file against you the proper criminal, civil and administrative complaints before the proper courts and the Committee on Bar Discipline,” the camp of Cristy said. As of this writing, the camp of Dawn has not replied to this yet.
