Bongbong Marcos Will Join SMNI Presidential Debate

Bongbong Marcos is expected to join the presidential debate on SMNI

On Monday, February 14, it was confirmed that UniTeam’s presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos will join the presidential debate on SMNI.

As the official campaign period for the 2022 elections has started, different media outlets are organizing forums and debates to show the voting population the platforms and plans that the presidential and vice-presidential candidates have.

In this election season, it has been a hot topic that former Senator Bongbong Marcos has skipped several interviews and forums, just like what he did in Jessica Soho’s presidential interviews and the forum organized by KBP.

On Monday morning, reports circulated that Bongbong Marcos will not attend as well the presidential debate that CNN Philippines organized. ABS-CBN News reporter Joyce Balancio shared on Twitter the statement from Atty. Vic Rodriguez, the spokesperson of BBM, regarding this matter.

The lawyers debunked the statement from a DLSU professor that the son of the late President Ferdinand Marcos is skipping debates and fora. He cited that the presidential aspirant has joined the presidential interviews that King of Talk Boy Abunda has hosted.

BBM also joined the Upuan ng Katotohanan of seasoned broadcaster Korina Sanchez as well as DZBB’s Ikaw Na Ba? And DZRH’s Bakit Ikaw. “And another proof that BBM is not skipping presidential fora is his confirmation to attend the SMNI presidential debate scheduled tomorrow, February 15, 2022,” the spokesperson of Marcos said.

SMNI or Sonshine Media Network International is a television company owned by Apollo Quiboloy, the leader of a religious group who endorsed the candidacy of BBM and running mate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.

Quiboloy, as reports previously circulated, was on the most wanted list of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
