Bongbong Marcos skips KBP forum but joins Korina 'Upuan ng katotohanan'

Presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos skipped the KBP Forum scheduled on the morning of January 4 but he joined the “Upuan ng Katotohan” presidential interview of Rated Korina host Korina Sanchez.

On January 3, KBP (Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas) President Herman Basbaño announced that BBM declined to join the forum. Basbaño said that the camp of the former Senator sent a letter declining the invitation of KBP and the reason that was stated there was a conflict in schedules. The KBP President said that they respect that decision of Marcos to decline.

Because of this, critics of BBM once again made the hashtag “Marcos Duwag” trend on social media as well as the “BaBackOutMuli”. On Friday, photos of Bongbong Marcos doing the taped presidential interview on Korina Sanchez’s show circulated on social media.

Apparently, this was the scheduled activity that the camp of the former Senator was saying. There were also photos showing that BBM and Korina were in a kitchen and they were cooking.

After these photos of BBM and Korina surfaced online, the broadcaster-host became a trending topic on Twitter. Netizens expressed various reactions to this. There were those who criticized Bongbong Marcos for skipping the KBP Forum in exchange for doing the presidential interview on Rated Korina.

However, there were also those who attacked Korina Sanchez. Apparently, supporters of Vice President Leni Robredo did like this as the broadcaster-host is the wife of Mar Roxas who belongs to the Liberal Party in which VP Leni is also a member.
