Being the ‘First Lady’ is more challenging for Sanya Lopez
Kapuso actress Sanya Lopez admitted that playing the character of Melody is more difficult in First Lady than what she has done in First Yaya.
The said series that Sanya did with seasoned actor Gabby Concepcion is probably one of her biggest breaks in showbiz so far. Because of this acting stint, more people has noticed her, acting-wise.
That series gave her another blessing as it has Book 2 now. Yaya Melody is not the First Lady of Gabby’s character, Glenn Acosta. For the sequel of the series, Sanya Lopez said that she had exert more effort.
When she was playing Melody as Yaya, it was easier for her because she can relate herself to her character but as the partner now of Gabby’s character, it is challenging for her, based on the article in GMA Entertainment.
“Mas challenging po talaga maging First Lady. ‘Yung First Yaya po kasi medyo malapit-lapit pa talaga kay Sanya ‘yung character, e. Unlike now, ‘yung pagiging First Lady, medyo inaaral-aral ko pa po.” As her character evolved, Sanya had her political advisers on the set in order for her to have a realistic portrayal of the role.
First Lady is set to premiere on February 14 and it also features Alice Dixson ang Rocco Nacino. Alice is portraying the character of Glenn Acosta’s former love interest while Rocco is giving life to the character of Mayor Moises Valentin.
Rocco Nacino shared that he is happy to work with Sanya Lopez once again. They worked together in the remake of Encantadia back in 2016. The actor also shared that his wife Melissa Gohing is very supportive and understanding when it comes to his showbiz projects.
