LTO Warns Public vs Online Fixers Offering Package Deal to Get Student’s Permit
ILLEGAL TRANSACTION – Several online fixers have been caught offering package deal to clients to get student’s permit.
Some netizens have filed complaint against several online fixers involved on illegal processing of driver’s license at the Land Transportation Office. The fixers wee offering package deal including student permit, TDC, and medical in just one day for P4, 300.
The fixers were using various strategies to convince prospects such as paying the fees at LTO office. The client has to approach a certain personnel inside the establishment who will help them to complete the transaction.
According to the fixers, the clients could avail no-show process and to finish the transactions within a day. Clients usually accept those offers to avoid hassles and ensure that they could get a driver’s license.
Fixers offer student permit to non-professional driver’s license for P7, 500 from fixers.
LTO frontliner evaluator Lyne Ibay narrated that she has been victimized by online fixers. Her name has been used by the suspects on their illegal activities. she also clarified that she had no connection to the suspects.
“Ah kasi, siyempre nainis po kaya tinawagan ko po mismo yung nagbanggit ng pangalan ko, para rin po maklaro dun sa aplikante na in anyway wala po akong connection dun sa taong nagsabi ng pangalan ko, sa harap niya mismo na hindi kami magkakilala” Ibay said.
The agency considers those incident as very alarming since clients can get license without due process. The office also advised the public to undergo legal process because no-show process indicates that the license is fake.
“Talagang nanghihinayang lang ako doon sa mga taong nagpapatronize nun kasi fake yun at fake license cannot protect them, kumbaga kung meron kang lisensyang fake walang silbi yun sa’yo hindi naman inohonor yun e,” LTO Chief Asec. Edgar Galvante.
