Jodi Sta Maria talked about her love experiences
The Broken Marriage Vow actress Jodi Sta Maria shared how she went through a failed relationship but she is still looking forward to spending the rest of her life with the “right person”.
In a recent interview on the YouTube channel of broadcaster Karen Davila, Jodi shared the story of her life that not most people know about her. She said that having her own broken marriage vow had a great impact on her.
Her marriage with ex-husband Panfilo Lacson Jr. did not work out and it was a heartbreak for her. At that time, Jodi Sta Maria said that she felt ashamed. “I felt like I was the biggest failure, the biggest joke. Gano’n ‘yung pakiramdam ko, na nagkaroon ako ng feelings of shame, of guilt na ‘shocks nakakahiya.’ Kumbaga, ‘hindi ko ‘to naayos. Hindi ko nabigyan si Thirdy ng buong pamilya,‘” she shared.
However, she realized that the resentment and anger she felt were consuming her and the loneliness and emptiness she had kept on magnifying at that time. Jodi said that it was not easy but she was able to fix her relationship with her ex-husband.
“At first, I wouldn’t say na after the separation ‘yung ‘sige na, let’s be friends.’ Walang gano’n, syempre a heartbreak is a heartbreak. You’ll have to go through all these feelings of grief and loss and it’s not and it will never be easy,” Jodi shared. She said that forgiveness is not easy but it is possible.
For her future, Jodi is looking forward to spending the rest of her life with the right person. “In my heart, I know I would want to take that road again with the right person and in God’s perfect time,” the Kapamilya actress said. Jodi Sta Maria is currently in a relationship with Raymart Santiago.
