Guanzon to Go Around Country Explaining Her Vote to Disqualify Marcos

Rowena Guanzon will Explain Her Vote Against Marcos Around the Country

Commission on Election (Comelec) Commissioner Rowena Guanzon said she will go around the country to explain her vote to disqualify Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

Guanzon has vowed to start impeachment proceedings against fellow commissioner Aimee Ferolino. This is in relation to the delay in making a decision in the matter of presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos’ disqualification.

What Ferolino is doing, according to Guanzon, is a breach of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act. Ferolino was the speaker at the resolution of Marcos Jr’s disqualification.

“She should be afraid of me because I might file an impeachment complaint against her for violation of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act,” she said.

“Do not threaten me with libel suits because I was a professor of law and [a] practicing lawyer for more than 25 years. You can sue me anywhere in the country. I have money to go around the country and campaign against your candidate,” Guanzon boldly said in an interview with the ANC.

Guanzon is set to step down as commissioner on February 2nd. According to her, she plans to go across the country to justify her vote to remove Marcos from the future election in May 2022.

“I will go around the country explaining my vote. Ayan, ginalit n’yo na ako eh. By Friday, I have billboards na in Metro Manila,” she said.

“I will say this is my vote… I will have billboards in Metro Manila starting this weekend that says ‘labanan ang mali, labanan ang masasama. Oh ayan, ginalit niyo ako eh,” she added.
