TikTokerist Midwives from Maternity Clinic in Bataan Went Viral Online
The midwives of a Maternity Clinic in Bataan were performing TikTok dance moves before assisting patients to delivery their babies.
The Maternity Clinic in Mariveles, Bataan is currently earning popularity online because of their dancing midwives. The midwives gone viral for performing TikTok dance moves together with their patients.
The clinic owner identified as Cristy Hernandez or popularly known as Momshie Cristy believes that dance and entertainment can help reduce the nervousness and stress of pregnant mommies. Cristy has been working as a midwife for 27 years.
Cristy admitted that she had no idea about TikTok until one day she decided to join the trend. The clinic owner came up with the idea after seeing her patients suffering in pain during infant delivery.
“Wala akong kaalam-alam sa Tiktok, so tinry (try) namin kasi sobrang, alam mo noong pandemic, nakalulungkot isipin na lahat ng tao ay nakakulong. So nakikisayaw-sayaw ako, doon nag-start ‘yon. ‘Yung mga pasyente rito sa loob ng DR nakakatuwa kasi habang nagle-labor sila nag-iiyakan, so sabi ko sayawan nga natin itong pasyente natin,” Momshie Cristy said.
In the videos, it can be seen that the clinic staff together with their patients before starting the infant delivery. The staff even asked the patient’s husband to dance after the operation.
A lot of patients trooped the clinic after uploading the TikTok videos online. Aside from their services, Cristy is also making videos to answer the questions of the patients.
“Happy ako dahil mas marami akong napasaya, mas maraming mga pasyente ang pumupunta rito at maraming nakapanonood ng aking mga advice. ‘Yung knowledge nila ay nadadagdagan,” the clinic owner said.
