Authorities Seized Fake Paracetamols in Caloocan, Quezon City

Fake Paracetamols Found in Caloocan, Quezon City Confiscated

Police authorities confiscated several paracetamols that are allegedly fake after being found in Caloocan and Quezon City illegal sellers.

Because pharmacies are running out of paracetamol, some individuals are obliged to buy it wherever they can, and the medicine they can buy is even counterfeit if they look closely. According to GMA News, a guy in Caloocan purchased paracetamol from a man he reportedly witnessed selling it on a motorcycle.

Her body, on the other hand, rashes instead of recuperating. Following his complaint, the Caloocan authorities launched an operation and apprehended the drug vendor, who proved out to be a fake.

The package of the confiscated medications included the lot number and security markings, indicating that it was not from the legitimate firm that produces the drug’s brand. Such medications are discovered to be bought online from a source.

Authorities undertook a follow-up operation to find the source and confiscated P100,000 worth of paracetamol from the deliverer, based on the report. However, the detained individual stated that he was only a delivery person and not the medicine’s source.

“May botika nga siya sabi naman niya sa akin wala naman daw safe naman daw,” said the arrested person.

In the wake of the rising number of instances of coronavirus illness (COVID-19), authorities are claimed to be waging a crackdown on counterfeit medications. They also recommended people to only acquire medications from recognized pharmacies.
