Elmo Magalona is getting active again
Actor-singer Elmo Magalona admitted that there was a “struggle” in his return to acting after having a break for quite a while.
Elmo is part of the Unseen episode of Click, Like, Share. The last project that he had prior to this was A Soldier’s Heart that was aired from January to September 2020. After a year, he is now ready to be more visible onscreen once again.
Based on the article in PUSH, during an interview for this project with Jane Oineza, Elmo Magalona said that just like other celebrities who returned to acting, he also had a “struggle”. “Kasi I’ve just been home. I don’t want to get sick or anything. Pero now na nagkakaroon na ulit ng chance to get out more,” he said.
The actor-singer also said that there was no major adjustment because, by the time they were shooting for A Soldier’s Heart, they already experienced the lock-in taping. “We had to undergo a lot of the safety protocols which ginawa rin namin for Click, Like, Share,” he shared.
Elmo also talked about the preparation that he did for this series. He laughed while relating that when he received the script, he did not know that he had to do a particular scene. The actor-singer said that it was like preparing for an exam that one would cram. “Pero I was patient. Hindi ako kumakain and everything para lang mapaganda lang yung scene namin ni Jane,” he shared.
This project is like the beginning of opportunities again for Elmo Magalona. “Hopefully things keep on rolling from here on and sana with this start of the year maging prosperous pa ang year natin,” he said.
Elmo is playing the character of Jerome, the boyfriend of Mariel, Jane’s character. They have a business together but the opportunity came when Jerome was offered to be a model and then, social media entered their lives.
